Thanks Erik I will check him out.

@Brian M Sweeney I am open to working remotely. @Lance Lvovsky I totally agree with you I was just looking for a few recommendations to get me started. Not to mention I’m still working my way through the forums trying to master the search feature.

Any recommendations for a CPA in the Portland Metro area (possibly near Hillsboro) Oregon? Or a virtual one who covers Oregon?

@Jacob Ferguson Jacob, Although I haven't purchased my first investment property yet I have used my VA loan. If you are a disabled Vet you don't pay the funding fee. The post above that said you have to be 30% disabled is incorrect. Also I found just yesterday the VA has put out a sheet showing what the max loans they fund are and it goes all the way up to a four unit property. If you were able to do a multi family property using your VA loan you could have cash flow but be sure to crunch the numbers before putting your offer in. Best advice talk to an experienced loan officer or even multiple. You will find you will get different answers from a few and some are just more creative and putting a loan together.
