A feature that our Pro Members love is the fact that they can manage of all their rental properties for free using RentRedi. RentRedi is great because they provide our members with 1 to 1 support and onboarding to help get started. A lot of BP Pro Members are landlords so they need a software to manage those properties, so the RentRedi Perk saves members around $360 in software costs.

If you want to activate it, you can simply log in with your BP Account - Activate RentRedi Perk

Hey @Anthony Lafata

I"m glad you asked about the Pro Membership. Do you currently own any rental properties? If you do, you'll want to activate your free RentRedi subscription that all BiggerPockets Pro Members have access to. It's great because it's integrated with your membership so you can just log in and sign up using your BiggerPockets Account. Super easy.

Quote from @Bonnie Low:

Following because I'm looking for the same thing. Recently, I was pointed to Equity Trust or Directed IRA by a fellow investor. Equity Trust is who her mastermind group recommends. I can't vouch for either at this point but will be looking into them. One thing to consider is fee structure, which apparently varies widely in this segment. I was told Equity Trust has a very reasonable fee structure, FWIW.

@Bonnie Low The team at Equity Trust is great. It's why we partnered with them to ensure our BiggerPockets audience has access to the top companies in the space. Make sure to mention you are a BiggerPockets member as you special discounts on establishing Checkbook Control with the IRA LLC, along with personalized support.

Hey @Cesar E Gonzalez - quick question – did you already try our Lender Finder tool for hard money lenders in Bessemer/Birmingham, or was this a new discovery for you? If you gave it a whirl and it didn't meet your needs, I'd love to know what improvements you'd suggest. If you haven't used it yet, it might just save you some time compared to posting on the forum. What do you think?

I've been exploring new strategies with the BiggerPockets community, and I recently stumbled upon two completely free courses on self-directed IRA investing that changed my perspective. Imagine turning your retirement savings into a powerful tool for building real estate wealth—without spending a dime!

What These FREE Courses Offer:

  • Clear Fundamentals: Grasp the unique benefits of self-directed IRAs over traditional retirement accounts.
  • Real-Life Case Studies: Dive into actual turnaround stories and see how investors like you have leveraged these strategies.
  • Step-by-Step Guidance: Navigate tax benefits, compliance issues, and smart investment choices with easy-to-follow instructions.

I discovered these courses when I needed fresh ideas to boost my portfolio—and they delivered actionable insights without the fluff. Plus, they're FREE for all BiggerPockets audience members. Whether you're just starting out or looking to level up your investing strategy, these resources are a game-changer.

I would recommend having Roku TVs. Its super easy to have each tv set to guest mode so that people can log in, use their own subscription services, and then be automatically logged out at the end of their stay.

If anyone is unfamiliar with guest mode check out Roku's article - Guest Mode: An easy way for visitors to use stream using their own subscriptions

Quote from @Sebastian Bennett:

Can we re-name the reviews category: Rent to Retirement Marketing. Its the same thing over and over and over again...... accounts contributing nothing to the forums other than their endorsements for Rent to Retirement. At least make Rent to Retirement pay for advertising! Take a look at the frequency of these posts recently!  Bringing attention by mentioning some moderators: @Nathan Gesner; @Chris Seveney @Russel Brazil @Rene Hosman

Hey Sebastian, I totally get where you're coming from. Think of it like your favorite song on the radio—if it's played on repeat, you might eventually crave a fresh tune.

However, the fact that Rent to Retirement’s reviews keep coming back might also be a sign that they're hitting all the right notes with their customers. Their consistent performance shows that they're delivering on their promise, even if it feels like we're hearing the same chorus over and over.

Post: Recommendations for a Self-directed Roth IRA Custodian - Equity Trust anyone?

Quote from @Kelly Taylor:

Hello! Looking for advice and suggestions for a Roth IRA Custodian

I'm looking to roll over a traditional IRA to a Self-directed Roth by the end of the year, and use that for my investing. I had a long conversation with Equity Trust today, and I'm almost ready to move forward with them, but upon further investigation they seem to have some pretty negative reviews. Has anyone here used them for a Roth? Any feedback positive or negative would be appreciated!
Or suggestions for other companies that provide a similar service? Seems like the Roth is the way to go - I want to choose the right partner!
TIA all!

Hey Kelly - How did this end up for you? Did you up using Equity Trust or another company? ETC has great support overall, but even more so for BiggerPockets members as they are our official self directed ira provider. If you had a bad experience I'd love to step in and help you out to get it resolved.
