I'm looking at purchasing a duplex about an hour north of Atlanta. My current plan is to purchase with cash using my HELOC and close the property in an LLC. If I want to refinance down the road to get a lower interest rate, will I be able to do that in the LLC? I've seen conflicting information here. Also, anyone working with a good lender in the area that they would recommend? Thanks

Atlanta based and Just getting started, but looking at a couple of deals in Rome.  Good to know there are other BP devotees up there!

Thanks for responding.  I live in Atlanta and pricing is quite high, so I’ve been investigating nearby areas like Columbus, Rome and Athens.  I’m looking for single family, maybe duplexes, to brrrr.  Curious if the Columbus market is strong for rentals and if there are good opportunities.  Looking at realtor.com and it looks like there is potential.

Just getting starting on Bigger Pockets and loving the blog and podcasts.  I searched the forums and didn’t see much recent discussion about the Columbus, GA area.  Are there any rental owners on the forums in that area?  Curious about thoughts on the market.  Thanks
