It’s also the same strategy my in-laws have been using for 20+ years on their home as well as on lake homes.

My wife and I did this for 12 years, until buying our forever home last year. Best way to start from very nothing and in college to a stay at home dad to now having over twenty units! Tax deferred earnings and building up equity while living in a nicer home every few years. Would love to share any time!

We remodel homes once every year or two and look to sell those.  As far as rentals, I look for Multi-family properties that are in good shape and in need of only light to moderate work between tenants.  

I would be open to investing in remodels as a group or with a partner but feel long term holds would be easier as a group with less "active" participation.

That would be great.  I make it down to Madison (Sun Prairie) every few months to visit my brother and sister-in law.  We could meet up at some point down that way as well, if you are unable to make it up here sometime soon.

Great to hear!  I'm going to let the post sit for the weekend to see how many people show interest.  I have a few off-market properties that I would like to make a move on but we are low on available cash for a full down payment.  We are in the middle of a rehab project at the moment with a list date set for the beginning of March.

Let's plan to get together sometime next week.  I haven't had the greatest of luck with this site in the past and have only checked a few times over the past year.  Unsure how many people in the area use the site regularly.
