@Joro Yeager still working towards the goal. For the past 4 years, we've been working on our primary residence and building equity to hopefully fund our future purchases. Still reading whatever I can get my hands on, currently reading Recession-Proof Real Estate Investing by J Scott. I just found a local Real Estate Investing group as well. Patiently waiting for the meetings to start back up so I can attend and meet others in my area.

@Michael Bardelmeier AGREED! I am loving the BP Podcast, so informative and entertaining. Sometimes podcast can be boring and lose me as my mind wanders. So far they've been able to keep my full and undivided attention!! I literally hang on to every word and I have a notepad full of notes. An amazing resource that I too highly recommend. Much success to you as well!

Hello, my name is Michele. I'm a wife and mother of two with three life passions; family, music and real estate! In my previous life, I was a loan officer who specialized in FHA Lending and I have my Real Estate diploma. I left the business in 2006 to become a full time mother and housewife and unfortunately did not keep up on my continuing education, so I'm a bit out of the loop and currently refreshing myself on all the new real estate laws implemented after the big housing market crash. I'm also a singer and I released my first album in 2011. It was a self produced album and my first, so it could've been mastered better had I spent the money...lol! I'm still earning royalties to this day so somebody likes it, but I'm definitely not banking from it.

Music and real estate are two passions I have been torn about. Deciding where to focus my energy has been a struggle for me for well over 20 years which is why I have not been successful to date in either, that and being a full time mother trumped them both. However I have reached an epiphany if you will. I CAN do both! One as a career and one as a hobby. You see my youngest is starting her senior year in high school this year and turning 18 in seven short months. So that means I'm on the edge of being that boring housewife with two adult children who have separate lives of their own to live... So, it's time to start finally focusing on me and MY passions!!

Since I'm here, I think it's pretty clear that I've chosen real estate investing as my career and music as my hobby and I am 1000% happy with this decision! I also feel as though a weight has been lifted off my shoulders since this decision has been made, which leads me to believe that I made the right choice. This decision wasn't just made either. The epiphany came to me over a year ago while we were looking to buy our new home. We were being a bit more picky about this home purchase then we had been in the past. So we looked at a lot of houses before we found "the one" and during that time is when it hit me! I love to sing but I WANT to be a real estate investor!!! 

So here I am introducing myself on biggerpockets, studying, reading, watching and listening to everything I can get my hands on about the world of real estate investing. Working on my business plan, dialing in my starting goals and looking to network.
