@Account Closed what is an ideal layout for a duplex? I realize some homes are better suited for that kind of thing but is there a general rule or anything? I've never come across one.

That place looks awesome! Great job. Yeah, I've had similar thoughts if I cannot find an actually multifamily property.

ahhhh well that explains it!

Awesome! That gives me hope. I know they're out there!

If you don't mind me asking, what part of town? What neighborhood?

Any successful house hacking stories from Houston? I'm in the market and looking but it's not looking good. Prices too sky high and numbers don't work. I am not trying to gripe because I know I will need to MAKE the deal rather than just stumble upon one. But I am just curious.

I'm looking for 2-4 unit multifamiles in the Houston area (no greater than 20 miles from central Houston) and getting anywhere near the 2% rule looks like a fairytale.  Just wondering if anyone is actually doing it here?

I am interested in a property in Houston that will need a lot of love and possibly some creativity to help determine 1) if it's a solid building and foundation and 2) how easily it can be remodeled to maximize ROI. Please send over any quality contractor suggestions, especially if they have experience with investment-based clients.

Thanks guys!

Hello all! I am busy at that time but would be super interested in hearing about the discussions had. Anyone willing to jot down a few notes/minutes from the more fruitful talking points of the meetup? I would certainly appreciate it. Have fun and maybe I can catch the next one!
