Hello All,

 My Name is Mike.  I am a recently retired public safety professional.  After 21 years of  the daily grind and at 42 years old, I am moving on to bigger(pockets) and better things.

 I have always loved real estate.  Though not yet an "Investor", I have always been a big fan of RE, as its the one thing that has made me nice chunks of money over the years, by way of buying, improving, and selling the homes I've lived in. 50K profit in a home I owned for 2 years would be my best take to date.

In any event, I am currently most interested in Wholesaling.  How original, right?  I see that as the best niche for me at this point.  I'm working at building a decent buyers list at then onto the marketing, most likely direct mail and one other modality.  I do have aspirations of building a portfolio and potentially trying some flips.  I have found the plethora of podcasts and Bigger Pockets to be  a huge help.  The amount of free information currently available is astonishing, compared to say 15 years ago when the only real sources of information were books and expensive seminars.  I have regret about not doing this sooner, like in my 20's when I first became interested in investing. I am now prepared to "Fail forward" and now I have the time to focus on this amazing industry.  

I pride myself on my strong interpersonal skills and my ability to relate to people from all walks of life. I am not in a position to continue my education before moving forward.  The sooner I can find and complete my first deal, the better.

Bigger Pockets has already been a huge help and a tremendous resource.  I figured it was time to introduce myself and to say thanks for all the great info here and on the Podcast....a great big Thank You to the Bigger Pockets Staff &  Community!
