@Adam Reeves thank you for your response. I talked to a realtor since my post and she mentioned that the market is currently artificially inflated due to people moving away from the city. Summer rentals seem to be VERY lucrative in the area. Just not sure if the time is right to buy right now.

@Esteban Jimenez I started at 117 so there are still plenty to get caught up. Plenty of useful information too. I'm just getting started so I'm trying to soak up as much information as possible.

@Esteban Jimenez I'm addicted to the BP Realestate podcast. I'm a new member and binche listen to all the old episode to and from work everyday. I also spend quite some time in the listing section but realized that some of the listing are very outdated. Anyone else having that experience?

Him, Senior Project Engineer currently working on a $380 Million mixed use project in Washington DC. Her, former Registered Nurse with an eye for interior design currently raising 2 adorable daughters. We are looking to get started in real-estate investing and are looking for wholesalers in northern Virginia area and a partner with experience to do our first flip with.

I would like to get started in real estate investing and partner with a friend. I have very good credit and would come up with the loan while she would come with the down-payment in cash. After talking to my mortgage lender, I'm a bit discouraged because this situation doesn't seem to be as simple as I thought. Any suggestions how to set this up would be highly appreciated!
