I’m also looking for suggestions for flooring. I’m planning on doing the same style floor for the entire space so I’m looking for waterproof because of the kitchen and durability because of dogs. Any input would be very much appreciated. Thanks

So I’m remodeling my kitchen, living room, bathroom and 2 small bedrooms. I’m in the Long Island area of NY. I’m looking for suggestions or information on how difficult and expensive it would be to move gas lines to relocate the stove a few feet over. I also wanted to remove a the heating at the bottom of the dining room so I can put cabinets there. I don’t know the logistics on how that’s done but I’m looking for any help I can get. Thanks guys!

I am about to purchase my first rental property. After getting everything I needed and already 3/4 of the way through this process, my lender is now telling me that I need to put down 25% as he says that’s the guidelines. I never heard of this. I was under the impression 20% down is the normal rate. Is there a reason why he’s trying to get 25%? At this point I’m contemplating walking and finding a new lender.

@Remington Lyman to be honest that’s still up in the air. I would like to stay with the East coast, or even as far as mid west. I’m open to ideas and interested to learn about markets I haven’t looked into yet, so I can learn more about them.

My name is Mike, i live in Long Island New York. I have a good amount of capitol saved up and i would like to start buying out of state properties. I have yet to buy a property and I'm new to real estate. I've been listening to bigger pockets and reading almost ever book mentioned through out the podcasts. I'm finally ready to get my property. I'm looking for advice on how to go about this process, being i haven't done this before.
