Thank you Avery. I’m sure the laws here are similar. I’m going to have to talk to some Local professionals familiar with this topic. I’d rather not change anything. You advice is much appreciated

@Jeff Willis

Thank you for the advice. I shouldn’t assume anything at this point but should be prepared for anything.

@Lucas Carl

Thank you. It wouldn’t be easy to prove one way or another. I have to do more research on the topic.

Thank you all for your help in advance and appreciate any advice you have.

Bought a property with an existing tenant. Seller disclosed no knowledge of lead based paint. Has drop ceiling installed. After looking above the ceiling in one of the rooms there is visible peeling paint. Property is 100 years old.

1. Is it worth testing to discover if the paint is in fact lead based beyond the assumption or will I become liable now with the knowledge of the lead paint present.

2. Is it possible to go after the seller if they clearly knew about the paint and attempted to hide it.

3. Is this an issue that needs to be addressed or is the drop ceiling enough to separate any potential issues.

Does anyone have any experience/advice on approaching a lender about receiving written permission for transfer of deed? Has anyone successfully gained approval from a lender in effort to avoid due on sale? Thank you!

@Steve G. Steve, do you manage yourself or do you use a 3rd party?
