Hello everyone, My name is Mike , I am originally from the Miami Florida area a good market . We recently moved to NC a small town in Warsaw ,Wallace, Wilmington area. Has anyone faced something like this and what suggestion could you give me. Accepting Rental application have been a dilemma for several reasons: 1- There are many illegal families 2- The credit of those who have applied is below 600 3- The security deposit that we ask for is 2 months, which ,I can go down to a month, but I think it would be a greater risk. We have 3 doors and we haven't approved anyone yet. due to these circumstances. Every day we are contacted by 2-3 very interested people. with cash in hand , but when we send to check their history, we won’t hear back . On the other hand, some that we already denied due to bad credit continue to insist that we make an exception. So far the same cycle for 30+ days and we have not yet accepted anyone. the properties were completely remodeled. should i lower the standards a bit and adjust ? Have you all had experience renting to undocumented people?
