I currently have a $2 million umbrella policy and would like to get a policy that will cover me in the $3 million to $6 million range. I would like to know if anyone could recommend an insurance company along with a person I can contact to receive a quote.

Thank you,

Mike

What is the time limit for returning a security deposit to a tenant in New York State (outside of NYC)?

I own several properties in NYS (outside of NYC) that are in an LLC. Could someone please define what the LLC covers ? Would you recommend an umbrella policy too?

Yesterday for the first time I had a potential tenant tell me the she has a felony on her record when I sent her my application.  I Googled her name and found out she was convicted in 2015.  My unit is in Buffalo, NY.  Is it OK that I tell her before she is submits the application that we do not accept applicants who were convicted as a felon? If yes, is that something I should do over a phone call, email or text?  Or should I wait until she fills out an application? If yes, what's the legal why to tell her.
