@Shawn Mcenteer

Hi all, I found this thread as I’m currently looking for a reliable electrician in Northern New Jersey so I said I’d respond here instead of creating another, the project is located in Bayonne. Would appreciate some recommendations, please DM. Thanks!

Hi All,

Does anyone have any good contractor recommendations to waterproof the exterior of a brick foundation wall in Hudson County, NJ? Much appreciated!

@Nanyarid Gonzalez

Hey everyone just following up on this thread. How are you all doing? Anyone do any investing over the last 12 months?

I’m trying to decide between Jersey City, the Bronx & Yonkers to buy my first small multi-family but I can’t seem to choose. Anyone else struggle to choose a location for their first investment property?

Hi Everyone,

I've been looking to invest in a small multi family in Jersey City for a while, specifically the Jersey City Heights area, my first preference would be a 3 family, live in one unit and rent out the other two however I would also settle for a 2 family if the numbers in the deal were right. I'm very existing to start my REI journey and walk away from renting, however with the current climate I'm unsure where it's the right time or if it makes more sense to wait for another 6 months to see if the market dips? Any advise is very much appreciated!!

@James F.

Hi James did you end up buying this property? I’m also interested in this area and would like to discuss the market with others who have already invested here.

@Jimmy O'Connor thanks for your response. I’ve just started looking at Philadelphia, I’ve been interested for a while but I’d mainly be looking around NYC up until this point, however as I’m sure you all know, it’s very difficult to find smaller cash flowing properties up here. From my initial searches it seems as though this area around Temple University would be a good place to cash flow but I am certainly open to other areas around Philly. What other areas would you recommend?

Hi All,

I’m strongly considering investing in 2-4 unit rental properties in Philadelphia, specially around the Temple University and surround areas. Does anybody have any experience in this area?
