A good friend of mine just started his general contracting company. He is a licensed civil engineer and a one stop shop and does pre-construction, design-build, permitting, and construction. Let me know if you're interested or need any work done. 

I have a potential deal I am looking at, and the listing agent mentioned multiple liens on the property. We ran a check on the title and it only shows that the owners are behind on the payments an no mentions of any liens on the property. I'm still uneasy about possible liens. Is there any advice or recommendations anyone can give on mitigating this risk?

Thanks for sharing your experience. We were going to go check it out and do the same thing that you did. Go and check it out and see how they operate. It’s good to know it’s not really a viable option. Have you had any luck finding deals in the local area and do you only find deals out of this area?

Has anyone had any luck or even attended the Auctions in Ventura at the Sheraton? Or purchased any bank owned properties? I would love to chat and hear your experiences. Thanks in advance.
