Thanks everyone for the tips. I have been think a lot about investing out of state. I will look into everything you guys have told me. I have been listening to the podcast and I have been reading a few books. I will check out the reia's and hope to meet up with other investors soon.

Hello,

My name is Michael Gardner I am new to this site and hope to learn more about real estate investing. I currently live in Los Angeles but, I am originally from the Metro Detroit area. I work as a freelance crew member on TV shows, commercials and movies. I am interested in buy and hold investing.  I've just begun my journey into real estate investing education and I can already tell that this site will be very helpful.  I hope to start looking for my first deal this year!
