This is the exact reason I got my real estate license and why I will be successful doing it in cunjunction with my other job.  I sell food for a living and I see so many people and make so many connections.  Today right now I am sitting at one of my customers and this gentleman sits next to me and we start chatting he is looking for a condo.  Bam.  I just got to start working

I would like to thank everyone for their advice. I posted the feeling a bit discouraged thread from last week. I spent the last week trying to figure out what to do with my real estate career. I can not yet afford my association fee or MLS. I thought of hanging my license at one of the online real estate brokerage like virtual or the K company. Today i got the mail and there was a letter from Keller Williams congratulating me on my license and instructing me to apply. I asked a bunch of questions and some where answered and some seemed avoided. I asked about working part time and about mls fees and association fees and both of those questions were met with we can talk about at your interview. I feel i tried to be forth coming about not having my MLS or association set up yet. Anyone know if Keller Williams will help with the fees, should i cancel the interview because they will just say we can't do anything or they will tell me you can't work part time. I am really anxious to get working

Hello all new to the forum and also a new agent, well not yet an agent but i passed my test. So here is why i am a bit discouraged. I signed up for my real estate pre license class, didn't miss a minute studied like crazy and passed my state exam first try. Unfortunately thats where my preparedness ends . I negloected to research what happens after you pass. Well needless to say it was a bit of shock when i found out that i couldn't really do anything until i paid my MLS fee and association fee. I knew there was some fees to be paid but not $1300 and not all up front. I will now have to wait 4-5 months to get started. Is there anything i can do in the mean time, do brokers pay for the fees or front the money with the intent to have it paid back. Any advice would be appreciated. I feel should add i plan on working as an agent full time in conjunction with another sales job
