U can see the ceiling/wall leaks in some of the pics I posted. You can see mold evidence as well.

I have a bunch of pics, but we were outbid in the final minute. I almost think it was a blessing in disguise. The more I thought about it, the more I was afraid the whole house would be mold-ridden, increasing the renovation price substantially. I had the privilege of getting in the home, the high bidder, unfortunately did not and has no idea what they’re in store for. So putting this property behind me and hoping something else pops up soon. Preferably not a sight unseen prop.

Hey Jim. We were able to get into the property and do have a GC on hand ready to go. Appreciate the heads up!

Hi all. We are interested in buying a foreclosure sight unseen to remodel and live in ourselves. Fortunately we were able to get into the property after chatting with the tenant (original owner’s grandson) for a bit. The major issue is that the house needs a new roof and windows. He said the roof was redone in 2007 but they did a shoddy job. The house has been neglected for years, so there is water damage in parts of the ceilings and near windows. Obviously the roof and windows need to be replaced and the walls and ceilings affected need repair. We have this in the budget but my question is, could this be a big disaster getting into and should we avoid this property? Would appreciate any advice- auction ends tomorrow. Thanks.
