@Chris Michel

In regards to Brockton, the city has started to rally around the old infrastructure of downtown by increasing density zoning, update city owned reposed buildings, attract new businesses, ect. The City implemented this as a 10 year initiative. Heres a link to the plan to look over

https://brockton.ma.us/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/16_0524_downtown_action_strategy_v13_final_web.pdf

@chivonobiri-mainoo Have you seen any improvements as of late?

Since 2016 (when the plan started I believe) average prices for multis have jumped from 350k to around 500k. Average costs for a 3 family per sqft is around $165

In Worcester, they are still around 340k for a multis. Average costs for a 3 family is around $105 per sqft. Rents are slightly higher in Brockton but they really haven't caught up much to match the recent appreciation.

You will defiantly get more bang for your buck in Worcester but I'm very interested to see what will become of Brockton in the next 10-15 years.

@DJ Richmond This is a great initiative, will you still be posting new dates on bigger pockets? - Mike

Hi @Javon Williams

You already have great answers on the technical side on how the new rail will affect these towns. In the "gossip" world I keep hearing and getting questions about Fall River. Take that for what its worth; but it could be a good sign folks are discussing/contemplating. - Mike
