Hey Thanks guys. Just a couple questions.

@Matthew Graham. When I put in an address it asks for pin. Whats that all about? Do I have to join or something?

@Mike B. Here's my greenness coming out. Is that the county assessors office I need to go to?

What is the best way to go through tax records in the Chicago area? For example: web sites or anything else that can get me that info without having to pay for it. Thanks

Thanks for the welcome Curtis. I did find the Podcasts about three weeks ago and I've gone threw about 20 of them. My girlfriend is sick of hearing me talk about real estate haha. The podcasts are just extra insperational though and they get me amped up to get into the game. I will keep listening and hopefully finish them all soon. Thanks again for the welcome

Hope this is the right place for introducing myself. My name is Michael and I've never been a part of any forum but bigger pockets just seems like an awesome place. I'm looking to invest in the Chicago area. I've been working hard to save money so I could start my first investment and now that I'm there I'm a little trigger shy. Don't want all my hard work to vanish because of my inexperience. Which is why I was hoping for some recommendations with some honest wholesalers and general contractors in the area. If anyone is particularly impressed with one in the area I'd love to get in contact. I'm really hoping to flip and maybe just rehab and turn into a buy and hold. Anyway those are my goals. Hope they can come to fruition and I can take part in this awesome forum.
