Post: locating leads by using title companies

Hi JK,

Welcome to the site, and don't give up! I just got the guts to go down to the court house and try and talk to someone in the Recorders office to help me out. Everyone there didn't really know what was going on, but once I told them what I was trying to do they recommended me to the title company down the street.

They charged me 5 dollars for 300 names in my county that I wanted that were Pre NOD and NOD. I was able to get 4 phone calls from 20 letters I sent out!

Now the hard part ( at least for now) was trying to screen the calls.

Good luck to you!

I have two people who responded to my YL campaign. So I have two questions.

1) One owner said that he had filed bankruptcy and the bank wasn't willing to work with him on the house. Can you still sell your house in MO when you've filed bankruptcy?

2) Can you (being seller) sell just days before the house hits the steps? What action is needed?

Trying to filter my leads that I get, and go after ones that make sense. Thanks for all the help!

great question. I have been wondering about this myself. Can anyone attach an article explaining buying from auctions and the risks involved.

Thanks for the welcomes! Can someone tell me how to tag people in posts?

Thanks Dan P for the info on the REI group, I will do some research on them and see if I can make it out to the next meeting that they have.

Wow, thanks for the two cents!

Something to think about. My county has a website to do searches on, however its very vague on the information that it gives. Im guessing the best bet would be to just drive down there and speak to someone personally.
