Hello! I'm a newbie to BP as well as to the Real Estate world. My goal to REI is to start with becoming a licensed real estate agent. I'm not sure if this is an appropriate forum for it but I'm taking my New York State Real Estate Agent exam soon and am looking to network with brokerage companies in the area (Queens/Long Island). Being a non-native of NY, I'm hoping to expand my network and find a newbie-friendly brokerage to start my endeavor in RE.

Any suggestions in exam-taking strategies/online school resources (NYREI vs. RealEstate U) and newbie-friendly brokerage companies to network with would be greatly appreciated! If anyone had taken the NY state real estate agent exam during the pandemic, I would greatly appreciate if you could share the experience.

If this is not an appropriate platform to post my questions, please suggest other forums/sites that I should look into. Thank you so much for your time and help!
