Post: Good brokerage to work w/ investors in Chicago?

I'm wondering if there is a certain brokerage in Chicago you might have had great experiences regarding with working with investors. I just got my broker's license and I want to have someone hold my license that actually works with investors. I'm not interested in chasing buyers who want the perfect "crown molding" I want to work with people where I'm helping them with their goals and that helps with mine as well. (Calculating deals, figuring out funding for them etc)

If you have any specific brokers, that'll help too as I'll then message them with specific questions

Thoughts?

Definitely investing in real estate! So many laws and numbers to know. Stand up is just funny therapy :) Thanks for the recommendation!

Hello! I have been doing my own taxes but they are starting to get complicated and I know once I get my first rental property that will be even more chaotic.

I'm a leasing agent and a stand up comic, so I already get a decent amount of tax write offs :) But I just passed my broker exam so I'll be phasing away from my W2 job.

I want to find someone that will be able to help me with write offs for both. (ie getting paid from comedy clubs in multiple states & write offs for owning a property and being a landlord once I am)

I figure most people that can do the real estate part can figure out the other part...any recommendations?

Thanks!

If you have a friend willing to gift you the money...can they gift it to someone in your family and then that family member gifts it to you?

I'm sure there's a rule about that, but that seems like the easiest option if there isn't a rule

I've been wondering the same thing! One of the broker's we work with mentioned that Logan Square is getting a mid-rise soon right by the California stop so once those start moving in the area I'm afraid even as a renter I'm gonna get pushed out!
