Thanks @Dawn Anastasi for the information.  I am understanding a little of the Accounting side of the Real Estate business or any business for that matter.  Can you tell me with all the forms I came across is all these forms mandatory when doing the books? It seems like it is complicated or is it that I'm just trying to learn the Accounting side of it all.

Hello,

I am taking Computerized Accounting Systems.  Is it a good idea to take Computerized Accounting so I would know how to balance the books when operating several apartment buildings?

@ Karen Rittenhouse you are welcome.  Hopefully, I will read your other 2 books very soon.  I am looking to get into Real Estate Investing soon.  I am in the process of taking a lot of notes and doing a lot of learning and reading before rushing into the Real Estate market.  Job well done!!

Hello,

I have just read a book by Karen Rittenhouse, The Essential Handbook for Landlords. I must say this was a good book loaded with good information.  I am no expert but I advise any and all newbies looking to get into Real Estate Investing or a first time homeowner to purchase this book from www.amazon.com and read it and get a good clear understanding of the book and Karen Rittenhouse advice in this book.  I also want to give a big shout out to Brandon Turner for advising me to read this book.  Thanks Brandon Turner for the suggestion, it was a very good book.

@ Andrew S. that is not the case.  Rent was paid on time as it was agreed between landlord and tenant.  I don't know what the issue is on the landlord part but as I stated previously I will be contacting the landlord office first thing tomorrow morning to find out what happen to my rent that was paid.  I'm thinking now that the landlord lost my rent and she is blaming me for not paying rent.

@ Kyle Hipp, I'm hoping it was an error.  I will be calling the office first thing in the morning to get this cleared up as I am trying to get into Real Estate myself, this is a big headache knowing there is a possible eviction being filed and it will go to NTN and the 3 major credit companies.  This is not good.

Eviction is for non-payment, tenant paid rent on time.  Landlord took the next month rent.

Hello,

If a landlord received rent from a tenant on time and landlord still filed eviction what can the tenant do to protect themselves?

Hello,

I don't own any properties or flipped any houses as of yet but I did do some research and I found this software that helps keep track of all your properties its called Property Management.  You can go to there website and download it for free for 30 days to see if you like it.  Hopefully this will help!!
