Hi @Bernie Tobin Do you have a good accountant? I just set up an LLC from mostly the advce I received from my account. He was really informative in helping me figure out what I needed and will need depending on the partners and situations. If you are interested I can give you the accountants name, he is over in the Walker area.

I am new to the site and new to investing.  It is someting I have always wanted to do, I finally got the courage to step out of the boat and sink or swim.  I am not handy (at all) so I did hire a contractor, who I think is pretty good...(I'm only about 1/2 way thru the reno.)  So for those of you who have used a contractor are there any signs or catch phrases I need to be on the look out for so I don't get taken?  Kind of an ambiguous question I know, but I could use any good advice.  I like the contractor, but he is also in charge of where my money goes...

Hi Samuel my name is Melissa, I am new to the site, a new investor as well and live in Grand Rapids. I have found 2 places to network. RPOA.com they have a Real Estate Investor & Landlord Networking Breakfast every Friday morning at 8am at Cheshire Grill. Check out the website they have other meetings and networking events as well.
