Does anyone know of a facebook group for investors in Southern Vermont.  I'm a member of one locally, and it's a great help to find recommendations for trades and cleaners.  Does this even exist for?

Hi Anna!  I'm about to close on my first STR in Vermont as well.  We will be in Bennington.  Since this is my first, I'm not sure how much I'd be able to help, but am always looking to network with other investors.

I'm looking to buy a home/short term rental remotely.  I need the agent to be good with technology since I'd like a virtual house tour.  Also, I'd like him/her have a decent knowledge of short term rentals.

Who do you recommend?

I'm following this as well.  I'm currently searching threads for recommendations and haven't seen anything so far.  This looks like a great opportunity for somebody.

I'm so glad to have found this thread.  I'm very interested in Rutland, but the house I'm most interested in is in the top crime area according to "Neighborhood Scout". 

Brian, since you are there can you tell us how bad the crime is or if things are changing?  (Note: I usually use Trulia, but nothing comes up for Rutland.  That is why I looked at Neighborhood Scout mentioned above.)

First topic in the forums.  If I buy the house for 65k, put 30k into it, refinance at 120k value (96k loan), how much am I pulling out in the refinance.  I don't know why I can't see/figure this out.

I'm trying to pull out most of what I'll have invested.
