I have not. Tbh, I find it somewhat shady when a business is unwilling to verify their company and then subsequently ask me for my social security number. I could be being paranoid, but that's just me. So I will most likely continue my search and move forward with getting my RE license.

They did, but not with additional verification for their business; just the on boarding documents.

Hello all,

So I've been looking for some investors to team up with while I work on getting my RE license.

I recently came across Hometown Buyers Club, LLC that is hiring in Acquisition Agents. I spoke to two people from the company and it sounds very straightforward. Essentially, I'm talking to the distressed sellers, they're putting the name on the contracts and buying the house or assigning the contract. It's essentially JVing a deal.

However, they claim to have over 200 agents (licensed & unlicensed) and have been doing this for 3 years, but their online presence is very poor. I'm awaiting a link to their LinkedIn.

Has anyone heard of them?

@Tim Jacob no disrespect...although I am a South Florida resident I was born and bred in Baltimore and if memory serves there were vouchers given in and around that block...2739 E Chase to be exact. Perhaps they are more selective now...

Yes, I'm new to RE and don't have leasing under my belt...was just trying to be helpful as someone that has lived in Highlandtown and have known people renting through section 8 in that area.

@RozPalas Have you considered Section 8? Having lived in the same area about a mile south from that property, I remember there being quite a few Section 8 houses crossing north over E Baltimore Street. I remember a lot of rehabbers coming in and doing flips all in the southern region between Broadway and Highland Ave (Canton, Fells Point, Highlandtown)

Baltimore REAs, correct me if I'm wrong. It's been a few years.
