Post: New to REI and want to build a tiny home community

Hello - I am new to REI and have this vision of starting a small tiny home community. I am looking for a step-by-step checklist or something of the sort of what I need to do.

Here is my background. I am a newer real estate agent who has fantastic credit and about $80K in savings. There is a huge opportunity within my area north of Atlanta to provide rentals to the senior and/or community worker (teachers) population. I came across a woman who did this in St. Louis and immediately fell in love with the idea. I've been researching REI for a couple of years now and have been trying to figure out what would be best for me and my family. This just feels right but obviously has to make sense. There are a few communities like this in the metro Atlanta area but not sure if it's possible in my particular county yet.

I guess what I am looking for is something like the below and then I can do more research on how to get things rolling. I don't even know if the below example is in the correct order which is what I am looking for. Any guidance would be very much appreciated. Or if there is a resource that has this information, I'd love to know where to find it.

1. Meet with zoning and planning to determine if this is even possible in my county.

2. Find an architect to have plans drawn.

3. Get approved by zoning and planning.

4. Find builder

5. Find land & purchase cash

6. Find lender/financing
