@Brian Mcmenamin Thanks. I lived in Virginia Beach and worked at the Naval Base years ago. Pass through a couple times a year when moving my trawler back and forth for the Winter.

@Brian C. thanks for the feedback. I like your Go/No-Go criteria. I suspect it would take a lot of hunting in our area to fine them though. Have you been able to find properties in the Stafford area that meet that criteria?

@Tom Ott Thank You. I am not from Ohio, but for some reason my family gravitates to Ohio Schools. My youngest son spent a semester at Kent State (now a Navy SeaBee), another son graduated from Miami of Ohio, and a nephew is currently attending Ohio State.

Hello from Northern Virginia!

I am new to real estate investing but have been working in real estate advertising for 18 years. I co-founded with my wife Sharon MilitaryByOwner Advertising that helps military families Find, Rent, and Sell homes near U.S. Military Bases. We started the company about the time I retired from the Marines. All of my investing activities have been focused on the equity markets and building businesses. I am interested in real estate as a means to diversify my investments. One question I have for anyone that reads this post is: "What is your personal Cash on Cash Go/No-Go criteria?
