I am in grad school and will likely be moving from New Orleans to find a job elsewhere (likely out of state) after graduation in about 2 years. I have some nice duplexes im looking at with a USDA loan. Is it a smart move to invest in a place that you are not certain you will live in long-term?

My concern is that wherever I move to, I may not qualify for a loan because I would have a new job. Then I would have to wait a couple years to qualify for a loan there.

Please help!

Has anyone used Anchor House Financial before?

They supposedly give leads of people who are having problems making their monthly mortgage payments. After doing my research online I saw that they have terrible reviews including 1 star on BBB. After speaking to a guy who works for them, he told me that the bad reviews are only 2% of the people they actually service.

Just curious whether someone actually has something positive to say about them.

@Octavian Cross do you have a good RMLO? I am looking for a good one who will apply option fee to downpayment.
