@Beruk Lessanework

Welcome to the BP family

Quote from @Scott Trench:

Hi Folks - Thought I'd make this a sticky in the "New Member Introductions" Forum.

First of all, welcome to BiggerPockets! You are in the right place if you are looking to learn, network, or begin taking deliberate action (like finding and analyzing deals) in your real estate portfolio.

Congratulations on deciding to take a big step by introducing yourself to the forums - while everyone is friendly and looking out for your success on these forums, I remember how intimidating it was making my first post introducing myself to the community 10 years ago and before I started working here.

A couple of tips to get the most of your post:

- First, upload a profile picture and consider taking 2 minutes to update your bio. It's way easier to relate to you and help you out if we can see your smiling face.

- Second, give us a couple of sentences about yourself. Tell us where you are from, where you are looking to invest, the strategies you want to pursue, and who you want to network with, be it local investors, agents, lenders, property managers, contractors, or more.

Many users in this forum set up "keyword alerts" and you should too to stay in tune with the strategies, markets, or other discussions that come up that are of interest. For example, I have a keyword alert set up for "Denver" and "House-Hack" so that anytime a new investor is discussing house-hacking nearby, I can jump in and help them out. If you are interested in the same for your market, you should set that up so that you can see when other users post about that.

Related - when you introduce yourself, make sure to call out your market, what you want to learn about, and who you want to meet very specifically. That way, the people who have keywords set up can come and welcome you and the networking process begins!

I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible, and feel free to @mention me (Just type in "@" and then "Scott Trench" and you'll be able to tag me so that I get alerted).

Thanks Scott!

Welcome, Quentin! Great to have you here. It’s awesome to see your enthusiasm—looking forward to the questions you bring and the insights you’ll gain. Here’s to a successful start on your real estate journey!

Hi Brett, and welcome to the BiggerPockets community!

House-hacking with a multi-family property is a fantastic way to get started—it’s one of the best strategies for learning the ropes of property management while generating income right from the start. Being in Arlington, you’re in a prime area for finding multi-family units with strong rental demand, so you’re in a great position to make this work.

We’re excited to have you here and look forward to hearing more about your journey! Don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or to share updates. Wishing you the best as you dive into your first investment!

Hello Coreen, and welcome to the BP community!

Thank you for your service, and congratulations on your new journey in real estate! It’s inspiring to see how you’ve been so intentional about preparing for this next chapter—your commitment to learning and gaining hands-on experience will serve you incredibly well in fix-and-flip projects. Tampa is a fantastic market, and being on-site will give you invaluable insights into both the renovation process and the local real estate landscape.

Having your real estate license is a huge advantage, especially in a competitive market. It sounds like you’re building a strong foundation to not only find promising deals but also make confident, informed decisions along the way.

We’re thrilled to have you as part of the community and can’t wait to see the projects you take on. Feel free to reach out with questions or updates—we’re here to support you every step of the way. Best of luck, Coreen!
