So we own some commercial rental properties in the Bay Area. The city is requiring us to obtain business licenses for these properties and we are wondering if anyone has experience dong this. What would be the best way to structure creating formal businesses out of our commercial real estate?

Hello all,

We live in the SF bay area and in a certain city we have property in, the city has sent letters to us requiring us to have a business license for our commercial property that we rent out. Can someone explain how its legal to require this of the property owner and not just require it of the occupant (if they are operating a business out of it)?

Any advice?

I am interested id love to connect

I'm just starting out and looking for tips on how to start investing in duplex rental homes in the SF Bay Area. What are strategies for getting started with no experience?
