@Amy Kendall amazing! This is all great. Appreciate your words so much. I think you hit it head in that she might not be able to visualize it like I can because I work with investors everyday in helping them insure their portfolio’s, so I have more exposure.

I’ll definitely ask some local investors I know to dinner with my girlfriend to help get a discussion started with the other investor and their spouse.

Hey friends I’m hoping to get your opinion on my situation. I am all in on House hacking and doing that for a couple years to get into investing, but my girlfriend doesn’t want to because she has this mindset that we would be living in a dump.

We decided recently decided to quit renting and purchase a single-family home to build equity. She is not opposed to doing real estate investing (and sees the tremendous potential), but has no interest in doing a house hack.

With our recent purchase of the SF, what would you recommend me doing to get into REI in 2019/2020? Also, what would you do to help change her opinion on house hacking. We are in a hot market (Kansas City), so I want to take advantage of anything I can ASAP.
