My wife and I just purchased our first STR in the Shenandoah Valley area. I am looking for a handyman and a really good cleaner if anyone has any suggestions or references. We are specifically in New Market, Virginia.

Also, if there are any STR owners in New Market, I would love to connect. This is the beginning of what I hope to be many more to come.

Hey Tiffany, I know you had previously mentioned that the REI group would be meeting the last Thursday night of the month. Any chance you guys are meeting up tonight?

I have a 401k that will provide a comfortable retirement for my wife and I.  Our why is twofold:

To provide generational wealth for our kids and set them up in a way that was never a possibility for us. 

To be a financial pillar for our church to continue reaching and impacting our community.  We have a vision of building a hope center that would provide food, clothing, medical care and other essentials for those in need in our community.  We also want to build a respite lodge for Pastors and their families.  Think of it like a ranch/retreat where Pastors and their families can get away for a few days to recharge and focus on themselves and their spiritual and mental health.

The Hope would be to split all investment profits 50/50 between the two.

Thanks Tiffany!  Do they always meet on Thursday nights or is it different days of the week?  I have production and worship practice at my church every Thursday night, but would definitely like to come and meet some local investors and start making some connections.

Hey all. I'm in Richmond and am looking in the Shenandoah area for my first STR. Would love to connect with those of you investing there and learn as much as possible. I am waiting to finish a renovation on my personal home and use the equity to purchase my first STR. Hope to be under contract by late summer-early fall.
