Quote from @Kollin Ruiz:

Hi Matthew,

Welcome to BiggerPockets! Your plan to use your RE license to raise capital and invest in rentals is smart. It’s great that you’re combining that with real estate.

I'm not in SE Idaho, but I connecting with local investors and attending meetups is the best way to learn more about the market. Watch out for the different meet-up events posted in your area. Good luck with your journey!

Thank you! I will definitely pay attention to the local meetup events and try to go to those

Hello everyone,

I'm finally graduating from listening to podcasts and casual internet/Zillow searches to jumping feet-first into real estate investment. I'm a college student (studying agronomy) in eastern Idaho, living with my wife, daughter, and bernedoodle . In my free time, I am working to finish the coursework to get my RE license.

I've been interested in becoming a farmer for as long as I can remember, and as I've looked at the viability of getting into farming, I've seen how much debt people go into to purchase land and equipment, and how crippling that debt can be for both the farmer and their family. I am really interested in the potential that RE investment has to help provide an income for my family and help me slowly build a farming operation that is set up for long-term sustainability.

I plan to use my RE license to raise capital and get access to potential rental properties. I am also interested in developing properties and building my own rentals, but I expect that won't be possible for several years.

Are there any other investors in Idaho (especially SE Idaho) on here? I'd love to connect and learn about your strategies. I'm excited to learn from all of you!
