@Jackson Babcock thank you for the advice and reaffirming a starting point and game plan on my personal growth. I have talked with my dad's friend of a friend son who recently raised money to purchase a 32 unit. I have been in talks with him the last two days and as I do not have any substantial amount of money I have offered my time to be the property manager and said I would give up the salary in exchange for a 10% equity stake and a finders fee. Is this a crazy idea on my end ? my expenses are covered from my househack and other job (bartending). I am eager to get into this niche of real estate but I do not want to over leverage myself. Also, I also do not want to sell myself short and not give myself a fair slice of cake. any advise is welcome and appreciated

Hello all, I am a new real estate investor (one house hack closed at the end of March). I quickly realized I want to get into bigger deals. I have since networked with several brokers and have made good connections with one in particular who recently sent me an off market 85 unit. He followed up with this owner owns about 1000 doors in various complexes all over the area ( capital region, NY). To get to my question I am asking, what is the best way to try to start raising capital with very little experience in real estate and none in commercial deals? any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance
