Thanks Tim. I will look into them.  I have already ordered my windows from a company in Portland and come to find out they are made up here at Milguard.  Anyhow, no taxes down there and paid about $2700 for 15 custom windows. On my next project I will give Cascade a call.

Good day BP,

I recently purchased a home in Tacoma and the place needs a couple windows to meet the city's egress requirements  While I'm doing that, it needs new windows all the way around  Got a quote from Home Depot and they are a bit spendy.  Does anyone know of a better place to purchase custom sized windows in the area? HD is 6 weeks out which may be the case for all suppliers, but maybe someone else is cheaper for the same quality.  I am looking to install either myself or have my contractor do it, so I just need the windows  Thank you all for taking the time to read this.

Hello to members of BP.

I am finding this to be a very informative and helpful website and community.

Thank you all.

I am in the process of building my team of professionals but find myself struggling to find reliable general contractors with experience in flipping.

Many of the homes I have been looking at are REO bank owned home that require a fair amount of work. Remodeling these homes can lead to many unforeseen issues. so a contractor with experience , I would hope, can help me avoid this pitfall.

Any recommendations or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

BTW I am focusing on Tacoma, Lakewood, Spanaway, areas

Thank you in advance

Matt

I am looking to build a relationship with a good general contractor that is experienced with flip homes. Basically in the Tacoma, south sound area.

I came upon this forum and . I am ready to start making offers, just looking for a contractor to work with to get the job done.

Any recommendations of people you have had good experience with would also be much appreciated.

Regards

Hi ,

Very new to Bigger Pockets, I have found this site most helpful.

I have walked several dozen homes in my area and am very close to pulling the trigger on my first offer. I have assembled a team of realtors, financial backers, and other support professionals. However, the last step I need is to find a good General contractor (s) that specializes in Flip homes or is at least very experienced with the unexpected that comes with remodels.

Can anyone recommend a contractors in this area that specializes in Flips? Or suggest some ways to find a contractor?  I have tried the Early Home Depot method, but have spent so much time on people that say they can do what is needed.  Retail contractors just don't cut the mustard so I am asking for help...

Good luck to all. Thanks to all in advance.
