No. Not interested in having anything sold to me that is not a property. Really just seeking people who can share ideas and for fruitful relationships in REI.

I am a new investor who is eager to learn all I can on initial strategies. I am wondering if there are any local investor meet-ups in the Dallas, TX area. I live half an hour south of Dallas.

Greetings, Cody and everyone here, also from Waxahachie! Just moved into the area back in September. I am also lurking around the edge of this pool without having jumped in yet. I am really trying to understand whether I am in the right position to do so yet. I am currently working through pre-licensing courses for Texas real estate. I have a wife who is totally on board with this endeavor. We also have eight young children. Clearly, I have very strong reasons to pursue this change, but for the same reasons I must exercise the utmost prudence (without compromising the call to take some risk).

In addition, it is a one bed one bath unit for sale for $625 on the northwest outskirts of Austin, TX. It is in visibly good condition. I currently own no properties and wondering if this may be a good initial step into investing.

Thoughts?

A two story fourplex two hours away from me has a single unit for sale. Is this a good idea to buy it and rent it out with someone else owning the other units?
