After doing this project I will give you a few pointers.  Be clear on your values before starting to reflect on what your ideal life/business looks like in 3 years.  Give yourself some time on this project.  From beginning to end I spent close to 3 months.  I would have some sort of rough framework to start from that I built at home.  Steal my 5 pillars if you would like but don't start really reflecting on things until you are in a space to really dream.  I spent two afternoons in a hammock at a park with ear plugs in just dreaming.  I fell asleep both times so be warned.  Find a copy write to help you put your ideas into a format that others can understand.  I spent $150 to hire a copy write that really made my words pop of the page.  Feel free to use my magazine "Feature" layout as you will receive 0 points for originality in this project.  I had a friend take the words that you see in the first draft and put them into a magazine feature article I liked that I found on the internet.  He is a skilled graphic designer and it took him almost zero time to do this.  The hardest part of this whole project is really being venerable enough to share with others.  It sounds crazy but not everyone is super enthused about someone that knows were they want to go and wants to live a better life.  Once you are done and this project is in the universe be ready to go!  Your subconscious will take over and you will wake up much more focused.  People will jump at the chance to help you when they truly know your destination.  My last piece of advice is to dream big as I have already found I have not dreamed big enough.  You will overestimate what you can accomplish in one year but underestimate what you can accomplish in 3 years.

Here is my finished polished copy.

2025 Vivid Vision

Here is my final polished version of my Vivid Vision.  It has been amazing the progress that has been made since I began to share this with others.  Having gone through this project has really helped me focus on actions that drive me towards me ideal life.  I would love to see other Vivid Visions from members of this community.

Thanks for the kind words.  The hardest part after I found a journalist was trying to explain what I wanted.  I think it is a must to have someone give outside help to write these.  Having someone else help write just ensures that your vision is clear to everyone who reads it and not just yourself.  I would also say the amount of time it took.  I started in October and I am just finishing it up.  Follow the Vivid Vision book by Cameron Herold as he gives a nice outline for how to do the project.

Here is a link to my just finished 2025 Vivid Vision. It is not 100% finished as I have friend that is going to format it into a feature magazine style layout, but I am not letting great get in the way of good at this point. I did find an individual locally that was newspaper writer to help bring my notes to life in a feature style layout. The three people I have shared it with have commented that they can clearly see where I want to get to now. Interestingly those two individuals know me as well as anyone as one is my wife and the other is an executive coach that I have worked with for over a year.  How in the world can we expect others to help us achieve our visions if the ones closest to us are not 100% sure? 2025 Vivid Vision

After listening to the podcast about 'Vivid Vision" with Cameron Herold I knew that I needed to create my own.  I am blessed with a mind that can see myself 3 years out, but have trouble relaying my vision to my wife as well as others that are able to help.  I have spent a couple of sessions drafting my vivid vision and I am seeking some advice  Like many others my main goal is to create enough passive income to do something else other than my W-2 job in three years.  I want others to know my vison and plan on sharing with a good chunk of people outside my work environment.  My question is how would you word it so that your employer doesn't catch wind of it and question how dedicated of employee you actually are.  Do you use vague language about "Financial Independence"  or would you just tell it like it is to make sure others understand your specific goal?  Looking forward to the advice.

Hello Bigger Pockets!  My name is Matt Boos and I am a 43 year old accredited investor from Sioux Falls, SD.  I am a passive investor in a hospital as well as retail/multi family fund.  I joined bigger pockets for the networking and information.  My goal is to continue to find passive real estate options to become financially independent as well as become more philanthropic.  Something interesting about myself is that I picked up the banjo a couple of years ago and play daily.  I look forward to becoming a member of the bigger pockets community.
