I own a Vacation Rental Management Company in Southwest Florida. We currently manage 10 properties but plan to expand to 30 over time. Can anyone recommend an insurance company or broker for GL and EO? Thanks.

Does anyone know the process to purchase 50% ownership of a house that my friend currently owns? He will retain the other 50% ownership and we plan to operate it as an STR.

If anyone has experience buying into a house I’d love to hear about it.

@Michael Vialpando I’d love to meet up. I’m up and down Palma Sola Blvd all the time checking on my two STRs right off that road. I live about 5 min north, up by Robinson Preserve. Chances are your in-laws’ rental is a short walk to mine. I’d love to share some thoughts and ideas back and forth. The market dynamic is pretty interesting right now and I’m watching closely for my next opportunity. Prices aren’t dropping as much as in other areas but there’s a definite shift of power to the buyer. Give me a shout if you can meet up or chat this week. .

@Bob Lett I'm primarily a STR investor in the Bradenton/manatee county market but also an agent. I have a condo on Longboat Key that does great, and this year I just picked up two SFRs in Northwest Bradenton/Palma Sola, where I live. Also working on a duplex on Anna Maria at the moment. Despite the high prices there are still great opportunities out there as long as they're positioned correctly. I love getting into the details and sharing strategies so if you ever want to chat let me know.
