Post: Marketing for Owner Financing-Houston

Hi All,

I have a house in Houston Area and looking to sell it with Owner Financing. What are different marketing strategies that I can apply to find a potential buyer? I am currently listing it on Craigslist and Zillow and sending post cards to the homes in the same area. Do you suggest any other way of marketing?

Thanks!

Hi All,

I am currently involved in renovating a property and want to follow the BRRR strategy for it. Some other homes in the neighborhood have garage and some don't. There is a covered parking area in front of the house that can easily be changed to a car garage which should cost me about 4-5k.

How much do you think adding a garage can increase the appraisal value? Does it worth to spend 4-5k for making a garage or not?

Thanks,

Mary

Thank you @Chris T. for the great tips. This is going to be my very first rental property and it is a relief to have great people like you to share their experience and knowledge!

Hi All,

I have just find out that my offer is accepted for a multi family home. This triplex home is fully occupied with tenants. The leases are month to month and 2 of the tenants seems to be long term tenants (10 years!) I would like to know what type of potential problems I might get with the existing tenants and how I can avoid them?

Thank you!

Mary

Thank you all for the responses! I just found out that my offer for a multifamily home in east downtown got accepted.. I think I am finally getting my foot wet! Does any one has experience of buying a rental home which is already occupied with tenants? Do you have any suggestion that can save me from dealing with potential problems?

Thanks,

Mary

Hello All! My name is Mary and I am a new investor from Houston TX. I have been browsing BiggerPockets with my husband in the last few weeks and we are already enjoying the webinars and checking different forums. We were amazed on the amount of information we could find here and how everybody is sharing their knowledge and experience.

We would like to follow the BRRR strategy for multifamily units as well as single family homes. We are trying to find our first investment property as soon as possible and cannot wait to make our hands wet!

The biggest challenge though, is to find a good deal and not to be over bitten by other buyers. We are looking to find whole sellers who are working in Houston, Katy and Spring areas. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks and have a great day!
