Hello all!

I am looking into taking my real estate licensure exam either in Feb or March for NY state. After obtaining my license I seek to build up my network to get the ball rolling with real estate. I plan on purchasing my first home this year and I would like weigh out my options. I reached out to a CPA website @ 1-800 Accountant and they were offering to start my LLC and EIN through them, they quoted me a certain rate but I feel like someone out there may know a better entity to do business with.

Also, I wanted to ask for any professional opinions/input whether I should obtain my LLC prior to purchasing my first home? I plan on looking for a duplex and living in it as my primary residence with my mother for a couple of months or a year, before moving out on my own and leaving her to watch over it, and the tenants in the other unit.

Any insight is greatly appreciated, stay safe and well. Cheers!

Hello,

I am new to this community and have been listening to BP beginning of last week, writing down a few notes here and there, and gleaning knowledge on where I want to go with this new side hustle. I guess I will start this first post by introducing myself. I am from Westchester County, NY, first generation from parents who immigrated from Perú, I am an only child, I am a Civil Engineer who recently passed the P.E.: Civil exam in Transportation. Now that I have accomplished that huge milestone in my personal life, I plan on starting off my side business while holding onto my full-time job and excelling within my career as an Engineer/investor. I strive to achieve financial freedom one day and take care of my parents as they get older with time passing on. I want to create generational wealth for my future children, grandchildren, and other generations to come. I hope to connect and work with anyone on this forum! I also wanted to ask, I plan on stepping forward with this new business some time in the beginning months of next year, I want to keep on listening to more episodes (I am currently on episode 11) and educate myself more to get a better direction on how I am going to commence this new journey; so does anyone recommend after what # episode I can start putting money $ down and getting the wheels rolling? Any advice and/or insight will be helpful and appreciated. I aim to mitigate as many mistakes or setbacks as possible. However, I know I cannot succeed without failing but I just want to begin on a good start.

Cheers!
