No, couldn't make it to the SJ meetup, the day job got in the way.  How was the Santa Cruz meetup? Should I consider it for next month? Heck, I could just shoot down 1 and not hit traffic until Santa Cruz :-)

Yeah, the 'ol clock's ticking! The amount coming out is probably going to keep me away from the core of the bay area, but I know there are deals to be found, just gotta look for that needle in a haystack!

Long-time lurker, first time introducer :-)

I started doing some REI via syndications, TICs, etc., over 10 years ago, mainly riding the coattails of others. Some of those deals worked out ok, some definitely did not, and I've decided I want to be a much more "active" investor.

Right now I have 1031 money coming my way and the 45-day clock is ticking! I'm looking to do a small a (2 - 6ish) MF deal within a few hours' drive of the Bay Area.  Prices/values here on the peninsula are a bit off-putting, so am considering markets all over northern and central CA.

I've been able to meet some BPers at meetups, including @J. M., @Minh Le, @Abhay K (why aren't @ mentions working for me?) and have already learned tons. Hopefully I'll be able to 'give back', but for now I'm soaking up all I can about small MF!
