Greetings fellow BP'ers!
After being a landlord of 4 doors for years, my wife and I decided on selling our property in the insanely hot Colorado market, and we set out on a road trip to find our new home. We left the Mile High Wonderland and drove ourselves (and two dogs) down to the tip of Florida, taking it all in. We ended up deciding on a beautiful neighborhood on the Pascagoula River in a beach town on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, and absolutely fell in love with it. We bought ourselves a furnished house with a giant pool, and also opened up a Short Term Rental.
We are now building our portfolio through flipping, BRRRR's, and additional STR's until we reach our end goal of unique stays in the form of luxury treehouse STR's on secluded riverside locales. We are active in Waveland, Bay St Louis, Pass Christian, Long Beach, Ocean Springs, Gautier, Pascagoula, and Moss Point (and possibly other water front towns near these locations).
As I'm sure most are, I would be interested in speaking with other investors in the area, and would even possibly be open to the idea of partnering for a property or two with the right individual/team.
For the record, I am not in West Gulfport as it says, but since there are only 2 town choices to choose from the dropdown in Mississippi, there you have it. If you know the area, you can likely deduce close to where I am at. Gulf Coast Mississippi, get at us and lets build some generational wealth together!
Cheers

Ahhhh bummer! I saw the one in May was on a Monday, so I had hoped the following ones were as well. I am available any day except Wednesdays. If you happen to remember me and the meeting day changes, please let me know.
Thanks,
Mark

Investment Info:
Single-family residence buy & hold investment.
Purchase price: $200,000
Cash invested: $20,000
Sale price: $377,000
This was the first house I ever purchased. It was a large 5 bed 2.5 bath on two stories. I rented out 3 of the bedrooms (upstairs) and lived in the basement which had 2 of the bedrooms, a master bathroom, living room, and private garage access. With the insane market in Colorado, I made a killing on this house and moved to the Gulf Coast.
What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?
I didn't know this would turn into such a deal. I just wanted to buy my first home and found this beauty. After house hacking it and having live-in renters for several years, I really got a taste of what real estate investing can offer.
How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?
I purchased this house from the MLS and didn't negotiate at all. I paid full price.
How did you finance this deal?
First Time Homebuyers program.
How did you add value to the deal?
Upkeep and maintenance, landscaping, garden and fencing in the backyard.
What was the outcome?
Absolutely killed it.
Lessons learned? Challenges?
Live-in renters can be challenging. SCREEN YOUR TENANTS!
Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?

Hey Michael,
I am also (mostly) new in real estate investing. I "flipped" the house I used to live in (and rent rooms out of), and currently run an Airbnb in my second house. My wife and I are looking for our next property now. We are in Pascagoula, about 30ish minutes east of Biloxi, so we have been looking around in that area as well. I would be interested in hearing how we might be able to help one another.
All the best,
Mark
