First of all I would advise anyone considering using cogo to find another option. Short and to the point instead of earning money I lost five thousand dollars just because I chosed to give them my business.
As a broker I was representing a close friend. I was illadvised to contact cogo. As requested I sent in my borrowers information. My friend and borrower had an issue with sending the documents. Instead of communicating this to me the account rep chose to ingore my phone calls.
I must have tried calling him 20 times at least. I even attempted to speak with a supervisor. This is when I realised that they were all in on the joke. I and my client were the joke.
One day I just sat and kept redialing his number. After about 30 repeat calls I finally got my so-called rep on the line. He told me what the problem was. Then he advised me to send the corrected doc and he would proceed to close.
I called my client and he sent me the needed doc. However by this time he had located another lender who was in the process of closing his loan. Why couldn't the Rep just tell me this days earlier?
I have been in this business for many years and I have never ever experienced anything like that. I don't know who their investors are but someone representing them should look into this unprofessional behaviour. I am sure that everyone in the office was supportive of this pattern.
