The mortgage company didn't approve it due to the way the private road was written up i had to find another piece of land

Hi, I just had 16,981 pulled from my bank account this weekend the bank told ne it was a judgment against me. I haven't been served, didn't go to court, didn't even know what this was because it was a foreclosed property that had a s3cond on it from 2005. After digging alot I found out Yellowfin has been suing to recover 2nd mortgage defaults from 2007-2009 housing crisis. Funny part is they did this during covid and there's a law stating 4 to 6 years statue of limitations but the judge in Harris County has ruled in favor of Yellowfin.

Hi, Im looking for a good cpa in or around the Houston area. I currently live in chambers county and I'm interested in investing In real estate. I have a pretty good jo so I want to minimize my tax burden.

My wife and I bought 4 acres to put a mobile home on. We intend to live there for a few years while adding improvements and then sell it. We got a great deal on the land (Or so we thought) which gave us a good amount of equity. We were told it would be about 10k for the pond and pad. After closing we had a few bids done and we were told about 30k. Several people have said that sounds extremely high for the area I'm in and know people who have got it done for 10 to 15k.  I'm having  trouble  finding someone who's available two contractors said they wouldn't be available until June and two quoted 30k to do it now. Not sure if they're taking advantage of supply and demand since several contractors have said they cant even do a bid. Is this quote reasonable?  I'm in east Houston.

I'll try and make this short. I have been in the process of purchasing a land/mobile home package since February. Its 5 acres off of a private road that all land owners have deeded title to. A few days before closing the lender said that the loan specialist finalizing the closing documents said the loan couldnt be done. The issue is the private road. In the event that we didnt pay the lender says they couldnt access the private road to repo the mobile home. We were told we can get a separate land loan and add the home. Doesnt make sense to me. If I default on payments wouldn't they want the land loan because that would give them access to the home by means of deeded title to the private road. If I secure a land loan separately then they would not have access to the private road?
