I refinanced my Condo and rented it 2.5 months later after living it.  Make sure you read your refi agreement.  Mine had a 60 day clause to live in the home as my primary residence.  after that, all bets were off.

@Cameron Braig, that's good advice, much appreciated.  I'll look into those metrics.  I imagine the infrastructure is a big indicator.  Super helpful.  Thanks so much

Hey @Michael Robbins.  That's great insight and great news to hear.  How long have you been an agent out there?

I'm currently working on compiling a down payment.  Looking at a few condo's/townhouses.  May be a couple months to have that cash, but if you've been out there, I don't have an agent/management Company yet. I'm open to any suggestions to help get on my feet out there.  Just seems like then a good market to get some cash flowing investments.

Thanks so much for the insight.

Mark

Hi Everyone,

I'm fairly new to the community and to real estate investing.  I wanted to just grab some thoughts.  Been looking at the Vegas market for some condo rentals.  Seems like they could cash flow, but not familiar with the market and how easy or hard it would be to get a tenant, engage a good management company, etc.  Would love insights if anyone has any.

Thanks.

Hi Everyone, I'm new to the community here. I started learning about real estate investing through a friend and got introduced to Bigger Pockets through him.  I am really interested in learning how to invest in real estate and am wanting to get into the buy/potentially rehab and rent, but I have no idea how to start, i.e. fin a good deal, get financing, etc.  I feel a little overwhelmed and could use some advice.  Specifically, where would you go to find a good deal.  Would you buy a subscription to these foreclosure sites?  I've heard about goign to the city and getting a listing.  Any advice would be great.
