@Ronald RohdeI haven't heard of Adventures in CRE, I'll check into it. Thank you!

@Mark Frattini This is good advice but I'm not looking to sell.  My main goal is to become an analyst either on the principal or brokerage side of things, get a foot in the door that way and make my way up to asset or portfolio management.  Thank you for the suggestions, it seems the common denominator is to get out and meet people instead of mindlessly throwing my application out hoping something sticks.

@Erik Browning I probably should've written "I'm not sure where to exactly look".  A google search doesn't exactly provide clarity on where to look for networking opportunities specific to what I'm looking to do. But yes, the onus still falls on me.  Appreciate your suggestions.

I'm looking to switch my career path into CRE. It seems an analyst role is the baseline entry position into CRE so I've been taking multiple courses and earning certifications in financial modeling (pro formas, equity waterfalls, development, etc). I'm also revamping my resume/cover letter/LinkedIn etc so I can show up on industry recruiter's grid. Is there anything else that someone can suggest to get my name out there? I'm looking for all types of networking events but it doesn't seem like there's much in my area (San Diego). I could be wrong and just not looking in the right areas.

Looking for any advice or suggestions to get out there that could help me get my name out there. Thank you!

@Maxwell Ventura Great info but, again, the price tags seem to be just outside of our range.  Yes, please keep me posted on the next meet up dates as I would be very interested in attending!

@Twana Rasoul Part of our search will be including the Balboa Park region.  North County too for sure but that 1-2 mil price tag will likely be too much.  Good to know there's opportunity out there though.  This market is so crazy.

@Mark Huang  We live in north county.  Ideally we're looking for around here but it seems that's not practical. Perhaps oceanside, c-bad or something similar.  Escondido would be ok too.  Not super opposed to the "bad neighborhoods" but tough to reconcile the price with the amount of work needed to go into them.
