Hello, My wife and I own a condo on the west end of Bridgeport, CT (Near Sacred Heart Univ) and are need of an agent to list it for rent. We just had a terrible experience with an agent who was super unprofessional and just flat out lied about listing the place, several times. Does anyone have any recommendations? Greatly appreciated! Mark

Thanks, Brie Schmidt That is possible, but I've always noticed someone at home before and don't now. After going to the yard sale I noticed the house when I didn't before. I'll check out the assessor website though. Perhaps I'll get a lead. Mark

Last spring I bought items from a yard sale not far from my house. In the past few months I noticed that the same house always has a porch light on and a car parked under the carport but the lights inside of the house are always off. I drive pass this house several times a day and nothing changes. Zillow says the house was just purchased in 2014 some so I'm thinking it's a little soon to have foreclosed on the house (maybe not). Also, the folks at the yard sale I'm almost certain are not in the military. What should I make of this? How can I find out what's going on with this house? If it is going into foreclosure, how can I go about purchasing it? My thought is to buy and resell. It appears to be in really good condition.

Thank you, Russell Brazil , I appreciate the feed back. Perhaps that's what my issue is. I haven't seen many houses in SS and Rockville where the numbers seemed right. On another note, I heard the podcast BP featured you on. A got a lot of insightful information. I hope you don't mind if I reach out to you in the future considering the proximity.

You are correct! All good advice. I appreciate it. At the moment, I guess I'm trying to find a house in a location that we are both familiar with. He's more for theRockville, Silver Spring, DC market.

Hello BP, I need your input. I found someone (a colleague) who is willing to help me purchase my first investment property. He's been investing in real estate for sometime and has the resources to pay cash for a property. I want to buy and hold properties for long-term/passive income but he wants the two of us to flip a property so I can start my own bankroll and have cash to invest in future properties. Obviously I have no objections to this! He's also willing to split the profit on the first flip 50/50. I have no exceptions of a 50/50 split in a property that I didn't invest any of my own money into so that isn't a motivating factor. Well, not completely! I'm really just appreciative for the opportunity to get started. That said, I'm having a hard time finding the right property to invest in. He wants me to stay away from foreclosures and short sales because he believes the process is too long and doesn't want the headache. I have no skin in the game so, again, I have no objections. Where/how should I go about looking for a property? Am I overthinking this? Also, I'm not a Pro member yet but I still have four more free property evaluations on BP and want to use them wisely before I upgrade. 😉 Appreciate your feedback! Mb

Hello BP Community,

I've been on BP for a few months now; however, this is the first post that I've made. My wife and I currently reside in Silver Spring, MD.  We own two rental properties, one is in Columbia, MD, the other is in Bridgeport, CT, both are condos. I wouldn't exactly consider myself an investor, yet, but I'm definitely looking forward to becoming an active investor.

For the most part, I'm here to learn. I'm not certain that I have much to offer the community at the moment, but as I learn more, I'm more than willing to "spread the wealth."

Looking forwarding to learning more about and from you all ...
