I've been buying and selling Real Estate for a little over a year here in the Hampton Roads. Ever since I came here at the beginning of 2023, it has been a crazy journey learning the market and helping others sell or buy properties. One thing I do find surprising compared to other regions of the country, is that there is not much of a community here when it comes to talking about Real Estate. I've been to about 10+ meetups and they all seem relatively small (other than TRIG), and I think its because there simply isn't much talk about getting into it. I'm especially surprised how rarely anyone in this region talks on BiggerPockets.
So far me and my team have been closing 10-15 deals a month here in the Hampton Roads and Richmond area. I would love to be able to network with investors, wholesalers, agents, contractors and anyone in between! We also host meetups about every 2-3 months in Norfolk that typically has 40-60 people show up every time, and would love to expand that number so everyone has the opportunity to network with their potential next business partner.
