@Elizabeth Hernandez After being more proactive with evaluating my potential decision for investing I think that finding a place temporarily is the right move and looking into buying a duplex or quadplex would be a more rational decision being trying to purchase a single family home to live in with roommates.

@Nicholas Gray. All I can say is that what you want now isn't what you may want in 5 years. Just stay at your job keep working and if you spend a few hours a day at your job researching real estate so be it. I think the same thing about doing real estate full tie, but like any real estate deal it has to make sense with the numbers to leave your job.

@Quinyana Mosley I'm in the same spot as you looking to buy my first multifamily. It comes down to i think living in it and house hacking is a must and making a decision when the numbers makes sense. The best way is to learn by doing take the action and the rest will come naturally

I'm looking to buy my first investment property. I have enough money to put 20% down. But I was wondering what are the pros & cons of putting 5% down on a first time home loan compared to 20% if the 5% is able to cash flow. How would this affect my ability to buy more properties in the future?

If you could ask 3 questions to your real estate agent to learn about the market within your city. What would they be & why?

I'm moving to Austin with a friend. Have a price range of about 500k. With a built in roommate looking to have property to rent after living in it for a few years. With that being said I'm 25 and what to find a balance between a good investment & enjoying moving to a new city. Looking for any comments on neighborhoods, duplex to quadplex market & around UT. Appreciate any feedback.

It has been cooling off from the going above listing frenzy from what I've seen on Zillow. Rental market is looking like good value to capitol

If you could only have 3 sources books/podcast, etc. to learn from before starting to invest what would they be?

If you could give 3 pieces of advice to a real estate investor looking to use a buy an hold strategy. What would it be planning to but 20% down.
